Instant Approval Credit Cards
There may be some confusion about what an instant approval credit card really is. Some people may think that they will get an instant approval when they submit their application, regardless of how bad their credit history is. Unfortunately that isn’t usually the case.
Instant approval credit cards mean just that; you get an instant approval (or denial) online after applying. Most, if not all credit card companies now offer a secure website where you can apply for an instant approval credit card. You would enter the information requested, and then based on your credit, you will either get an instant approval, or an instant denial.
To get approved for instant approval credit cards, you really should have good credit, because at the time you apply online, a credit check is initiated with the major credit reporting agencies. If the information in your credit record meets the banks requirements, then you will typically get an instant approval online.
Instant approval credit cards are not really a “type” of card, but rather a feature offered by the credit card companies. Even if you are approved for a credit card instantly, that doesn’t mean you can immediately start using the card. You have to wait for the card to get mailed to you which takes a few weeks.
Always read the small print! Read all the terms and conditions before you apply for an instant approval credit card because some of these apply a processing fee in order to get the instant approval. You should always look at the numerous credit card offers, and sometime you may event want to apply the old fashioned way by sending your application in the mail.
If this isn’t the type of card you were looking for, and you have poor credit you may want to learn about bad credit credit cards or secured credit cards.
